Lately, I find myself frequently visiting Daiso, preferring it over expensive products and opting for items that won’t disappoint after a few uses.
This time, I browsed through various Daiso phone chargers, specifically needing a home AC charger for ultra-fast charging (PPS).
Daiso’s operating hours are mostly from 10 am to 10 pm, but nearing 10 pm can be a bit rushed, so it’s better to go around 9:40 pm if possible.
The Daiso at Junggye Station, where I often go, is quite spacious, with all items conveniently located in one spot on the underground first floor, making navigation easier.
However, some products tend to be frequently out of stock, especially charcoal camping items during the summer, indicating a need for improvement in stock management.
Currently, summer products are prominently displayed at the entrance, but today, my main purchase was a Daiso fast charger.
For optimal efficiency with fast charging on smartphones, both the charger and cable need to support fast charging.
Home AC chargers come in regular and high-speed versions, with USB to C type and C to C type among them. USB to C types are usually older models, with one being a 2-port type and the other a 1-port type, outputting around 15W (which generally supports fast charging).
However, they don’t support ultra-fast charging. Additionally, the 2-port type maxes out at around 10W, which isn’t considered fast charging.
Ideally, an output of 15W or more is preferred.
Where should the focus be for phone chargers? Essentially, I was looking for a C type home fast charger, specifically a C to C type charger, as both the input and output are C type ports.
As expected, Daiso had what I was looking for: a 20W fast charger, which should suffice for rapid charging needs.
Regarding triple fast charging cables, I personally don’t prefer these 3-in-1 products as each cable’s efficiency tends to decrease. I lean towards thick, standalone cables.
C type cables are currently trending, replacing the previous 5-pin connectors, with iPhone 8-pin and C type, along with C to C cables being the mainstream choices.
There’s a variety of smartphone holders available, ranging from table mounts to stand types and those with flexible articulated structures.
They also offer various screen protectors, from tempered glass to urethane films and full-cover protectors, though covering all types of smartphone models seems challenging.
Other items like tablet screen protectors and smartphone waterproof packs are also available.
They stock various types of earphones, including Bluetooth earphones with charging cases, and notably, the trend is shifting towards using the charging port for earphones alongside the charging function.
For iPhone users, there are 8-pin metal earphones available.
They also have foldable stands, ring light stands, selfie sticks, and tripods.
Bluetooth receivers, wired microphones, stand microphones, 4-port hubs, and even PC pin microphones are among the extensive range of accessories available.
LAN cables, wired speakers, and 2-channel speakers are also part of their collection, reflecting the comprehensive range of PC peripherals and smartphone accessories.
Seeing such a variety of products for only 5,000 won is truly astonishing. From phone chargers to peripheral accessories, Daiso offers great value for money.
[Personal Review]
- This review is entirely independent of any affiliation with Daiso.
- When getting a phone fast charger from Daiso, it’s advisable to opt for products with an output of 20W or higher.
- When fast or ultra-fast charging (PPS) is necessary, make sure both the charger and cable support it for optimal output.
