Nowon Station meat restaurant Galbi ribs Non Gol Jib.

“Burning Friday”

The day we had planned to meet with a friend.

It was a two-day continuous drinking session, but

to keep the promise with a friend who came from afar,

I dash today as well.

The name wasn’t unfamiliar.

Even back when I worked in Gangnam a long time ago,

it was a barbecue place I often visited,

so the name is very familiar to me.

Right in front of the store, there was parking space,

and there was a vibe emanating from the retro yet clean exterior.

Galbi ribs, sirloin

Specialty restaurant for Galbi Ribs, Sirloin, and Pork Belly at Non Gol Jib, Nowon Station, Seoul.

It’s been a while since I’ve tasted beef like this.

Galbi ribs and sirloin from the Nowon Station barbecue place,

which suits the taste of Koreans with its marbling.

Among the galbi ribs I’ve seen in Nowon Station,

it had the best color and quality.

The gloss was good, and the texture was great too.

Charcoal White Charcoal

Good charcoal is essential for a barbecue place.

One of the attractive parts of grilling galbi ribs at Nowon Station

was the high-quality white charcoal.

Although it had a high temperature, its heat retention was relatively long.

We grilled six pieces at once.

This might seem like a lot at once…

But if you grill too much beef at once,

the fat can fly away and make it tough,

so we grilled just enough and enjoyed it sip by sip~

Basic side dishes

Kimchi, dongchimi broth, and onion dipping sauce.

Although not shown in the picture, we also added scallions.

In particular, scallions and onion dipping sauce

paired well with the meat,

and when we wrapped them in lettuce and perilla leaves,

it felt like a nutritious meal!

Korean-style Steamed Egg

Steamed egg, soybean paste stew

Side dishes we couldn’t miss.

Especially, the steamed egg came in a large pot,

overflowing generously, making it more satisfying.

We remember eating samgyeopsal with rice

lightly topped with garlic and ssamjang,

and similarly, we ate galbi ribs and sirloin like that,

and it was so delicious.

And the onion dipping sauce served as a side dish

was not too salty but had just the right seasoning,

and when paired with lettuce wraps and scallions,

it made our mouths happy.

We lightly poured oil on the garlic stems,

cooked the garlic, and

cooked it gently until it was soft,

and it seemed to fill our mouths with a savory flavor.

Again, for beef, it’s best to grill it slowly over charcoal

and taste each piece one by one.

I paid for part of the meal with my own money.

Non Gol Jib Nowon Branch Review

Recalling the taste of galbi ribs I had when I first met Non Gol Jib in Gangnam

when I met them again at Nowon Station.

It was galbi ribs eaten on hot charcoal,

but maybe because the meat grade was good,

it felt flavorful without any smell.
