I met up with a friend who lives in Jeongneung after a long time. It was a place I visited on a whim, but unexpectedly, I found a charming garden-themed pub.
I had some pork ribs for the first round, and it was a place that I liked from the beginning, so going for another round was fine.
The first thing I encountered when I entered was the beautiful garden landscape that immediately lifted my mood.
The 2nd-floor terrace provides a great view, but as we are heading into winter, it’s a bit regrettable that we won’t be able to enjoy a beer on the terrace. Nevertheless, it seems possible during the day.
We enjoyed a refreshing beer with my friend after a long time. The taste of the alcohol was quite good, wasn’t it?
They had a variety of tteokbokki options like rose tteokbokki, carbonara tteokbokki, and cream curry tteokbokki. You could conveniently place your order from the kiosk on the table.
They offered a wide range of dishes, including assorted barbecue, steak appetizers, and stir-fried pork.
There were various side dishes such as nakji bokkeum (stir-fried octopus), hamburger steak, and golbaengi (whelk).
The menu surprised me with its variety, and there were also cafe drinks and coffee available as befitting a cafe with such a beautiful garden.
In addition to soju and beer, they had trendy highball options like Earl Grey highball, Santori highball, and Jim Beam highball.
The dry snacks were excellent. However, one thing I found regrettable was the absence of grilled meoktae (a type of fish); it would have been perfect if they had that.
I might have eaten too much during the first round, as I couldn’t finish all the snacks. The snacks included dried fish, yellow corvina, rockfish, squid jerky, and more, perfect for enjoying with a beer.
I thought I should come back and try all the snacks I couldn’t finish next time.
This Jeongneung pub didn’t fall short in stimulating my senses, and it felt like my eyes had been refreshed after a long time.
Cats recognize people. Look at the way it wraps its tail; so cute.
It may look like a thief cat, but somehow, it made its way to the front of the terrace. When I gave it some raw fish, it confidently grabbed it and left.
Too cute!
They beautifully designed the garden with a small stream flowing through the middle.
The Macjujeongwon (Beer Garden) had an incredibly beautiful garden. I don’t know when I’ll come back here, but I want to visit the place with the lovely garden that felt like a sanctuary for my heart one more time.
