Today, I found a seated cafe in Namyangju.
In fact, it’s a place I frequent.
I used to come here often in winter, but it’s my first time in summer.
Whenever you come, it’s filled with a cozy Hanok atmosphere.
Located near Byeolnae, Namyangju, at the entrance of Cheonghak-ri.
The parking lot is quite spacious.
There’s an outdoor seating area in the backyard.
They didn’t operate it in winter, but now they’ve set up parasols and decorated it beautifully.
The trees in the backyard provide refreshing shade.
The view of the cafe from the backyard is charming, with its old-fashioned clay exterior and sophisticated roof.
It’s a joy to have a seated cafe with such a traditional Hanok atmosphere near Byeolnae, Namyangju.
The only downside is that there are some old items lying around in one corner, and they’re not well maintained, which is a bit disappointing.
It would be nice if they could tidy up and decorate that corner nicely.
Operating Hours: 11 AM to 9 PM
Regular Holiday: Every Monday
Features: A seated cafe combined with a bakery; The cafe has a two-story structure, with the second floor entirely seated.
English Guide
I wonder if it’s a place frequented by foreigners. Anyway, the owner’s sense is evident.
Chewy salt bread, and focaccia. It has a pizza vibe but a different kind of bread from pizza. It’s Italy’s representative flatbread.
Plain bagels with the option to add cream cheese.
Beverages for children. It’s preferable for each person to have one beverage, but these beverages could be perfect for children.
Plain scones.
The first floor has seating arrangements; on the left and inside, there are seats for sitting or lounging, while the three spots on the right entrance are individual seated rooms.
The first-floor rooms are of this type.
The second floor is similar, but not entirely separate rooms; the entrance is somewhat open.
The seated atmosphere inside on the first floor.
Another type of seating arrangement on the first floor.
The Hanok-style eaves are gracefully traditional.
There were various antique items scattered inside and outside.
Despite the distance, perhaps the reason for coming all the way to Byeolnae, Namyangju, is to enjoy the comfort of this old-fashioned Hanok style with traditional Korean floor heating.
There’s a door handle like this in the second-floor cafe. Indeed, a seated Hanok cafe has something uniquely traditional and exceptional about it.
There were pretty lights, too. They must be in the first-floor rooms as well.
For your information, both the second-floor and first-floor rooms have air conditioning. Also, the first floor has both individual rooms and an open cafe area.
Accompanied by a large red bean shaved ice and an iced Americano.
The appetizer that came with it was unique and interesting.
The piled-up red bean shaved ice reminded me of Mont Blanc.
When I ordered red bean shaved ice, they also served a separate dessert-like appetizer. (However, bagels were ordered separately.)

[Personal review]
A seated cafe and bakery in Namyangju, quietly located, amid the trend of Hanok cafes and bakeries.
Although the variety isn’t extensive, they have bakery items that can be enjoyed with coffee or tea, and they’re homemade.
The parking lot is spacious, making it convenient to use, and there are outdoor seating areas under the large trees at the back of the building.
