A meat restaurant in Jangandong, Dapsimni, where kimchi is delicious.

Whenever I come to Dapsimni in Jangandong, there’s a meat restaurant I almost always visit.

It’s become my regular spot, thanks to a chance encounter with the owner, who happens to be one of our business partners.

Before I knew it, I found myself captivated by the charm of this place.

Located between Jangandong and Dapsimni, administratively known as a Dapsimni meat restaurant. However, considering its recognition among the locals, it suits better as a Jangandong meat restaurant. Nearby, there’s also a familiar landmark known as the Chwachae Soga Intersection.

Indeed, there’s a reason behind the deliciously grilled meat at Chamsoot Bichamtan.

The lavish serving starts shortly after ordering.

Thinly sliced pork belly sprinkled with green tea powder. The texture, with its crispy edges, offers a distinct taste from regular pork belly.

The green tea powder neutralizes the pork’s smell.

Indulging in the addictive taste of kimchi.

Grilling kimchi on the barbecue enhances its flavor. Whether eaten alone or with meat on the grill, it perfectly complements the protein-rich meat.

The generous serving of lettuce.

In fact, at this meat restaurant in Jangandong, there’s a variety of flavorful kimchi served, making lettuce almost unnecessary.

The seating area isn’t spacious. There are floor seats, table seats, and outdoor seating, totaling around 10 seats.

Another special feature is the chilled soju and beer served in ice buckets. Nothing beats them on a hot summer day.

Thick slices of pork belly, green tea powder, and the intense heat from the charcoal grill swiftly cook the meat.

My personal favorite barbecue style is the one with a perforated top grill and charcoal placed underneath, ensuring even heat distribution and minimal juice loss.

A large pot of kimchi stew, priced at 6,000 won. It feels like it could use a bit more meat.

The erupting volcano-style steamed egg, loaded with green onions and carrots, looks so tempting that you’ll want to dig in right away.

The drum-shaped table is packed with food.

Iced soju and beer.

Four types of kimchi are served. Truly, the combination of kimchi and meat is what makes this place in Dapsimni so special.

Perfectly cooked meat, regardless of who’s grilling. It’s the kind of barbecue where the meat always turns out delicious.

Juicy meat, grilled to perfection, flowing with moisture. It’s the harmony of the grill, charcoal, and quality meat.

They place lettuce on top to prevent the meat from sticking.

Kimchi is served in two styles: grilled and fresh. There’s also a separate dish for fresh kimchi.

Oh, I forgot about the garlic. Is there no garlic? Did I forget to pick it up?

Be sure to try the nurungji. It’s even better for digestion than plain rice.

And lastly, when you visit a meat restaurant in Dapsimni, Sister’s Ramen is a must-try course. It’s an automatic hangover cure with its generous squid slices and abundant chili powder.

A somewhat special meat restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of kimchi with your meat.
