I visited a barbecue restaurant in Pungmu-dong with a friend.
Without hesitation about what to eat,
we decided to leave it to my friend’s choice.
So, it was a place where we could go comfortably and trustingly.
At the entrance of the Pungmu-dong charcoal barbecue restaurant,
there were menus such as fist meat, pork belly, pork neck,
beef short ribs, beef intestines, and pork skin displayed,
making it easy to see what was available.
Parking was convenient with a temporary parking lot nearby.
The table kiosk system made ordering easy and convenient.
Let’s take a look at how the basic side dishes were set up.
With dishes like green onion kimchi, white kimchi,
pickled onions, and chives kimchi,
all of my favorite side dishes and meat accompaniments were provided.
There were also water dropwort and fermented shrimp paste,
and the fact that the restaurant served fermented shrimp paste made my mouth water.
Underneath the grill, charcoal was hidden.
I wanted to take a picture of the charcoal, but couldn’t find a way.
Still, the well-oiled grill gave a feeling that the meat would grill deliciously.
And then there was the soybean paste stew
and fresh pine mushrooms.
Just when I thought all the side dishes were set up…
there were more.
Ah, and with the addition of lettuce and perilla leaves next to it,
the Pungmu-dong charcoal barbecue restaurant had more side dishes than expected.
Today’s choice was red pork neck.
Actually, I prefer pork belly over pork neck,
but my friend chose the neck.
Once the meat is cooked to a certain degree, it’s flipped 1-2 times,
sliced both front and back, and then cut into cube shapes,
before being grilled again.
It was cooked well and delicious.
Today, my friend grilled all the meat.
Why does having someone else grill it feel so convenient?
Still, I have lingering regrets about not having pork belly.
I wonder how the pork belly grilled at Pungmu Charcoal BBQ would taste.
Next time, I’ll have to try the pork belly.
There is a famous charcoal barbecue restaurant in Pungmu-dong, so I decided to visit.
I briefly observed the overall setting.
Plenty of chives and lettuce were added,
especially for pork neck, which can sometimes feel tough,
adding plenty of vegetables makes digestion easier,
and you can fully enjoy the scent of lettuce and chives spreading in your mouth.
Pungmu-dong barbecue restaurant, where you can grill various types of meat
over charcoal fire, evoking memories.
[My Honest Review]
✔︎ Pungmu-dong charcoal barbecue restaurant is very popular,
with waiting times during peak hours,
so it’s best to avoid peak times if possible.
✔︎ There’s hardly any charcoal smell, and the firepower is so good
that the meat cooks quickly,
especially since the grill is well-maintained,
the meat doesn’t stick and grills well.
