Yeongjongdo Hotel Attraction – Inspire Hotel & Resort Whale Show (Full Version)
If you ever find yourself in Incheon’s Yeongjongdo, one place I can never resist visiting is the Inspire Hotel & Resort, especially because one of my closest high school friends works there.
I try to visit at least once a quarter—though honestly, I wish I went more often. Somehow, the idea of “going all the way to Yeongjongdo” feels like a mental barrier, which is a shame because every time I do make the trip, I remember how worth it it is.
One of the highlights of Yeongjongdo’s attractions is, without a doubt, the Inspire Hotel Whale Show. Whenever I visit, I make sure to catch it—and today, I’m sharing the full version with you (it’s only about three minutes long, but trust me, it’s worth it!).
The resort opened two years ago and has already become one of Yeongjongdo’s landmarks.
First Impressions & Must-See Spots at Inspire Hotel
The main hotel lobby is beautiful, with a café at the entrance and a well-designed waiting area on the side.
Right out front, there’s a large turtle sculpture—locals affectionately call it “Kkobuki” (meaning “little turtle”)—where lots of visitors stop to take photos.
On the way from the hotel entrance to the arena, you’ll pass through one of the resort’s most photo-worthy spots, perfect for quick snapshots.
Taking the elevator up to the Arena Plaza, you’ll find yourself surrounded by dazzling LED displays on the ceiling. Here, aside from the Whale Show, you can enjoy another impressive LED performance that feels almost like a mini Las Vegas show.
The LED Arena – The Heart of the Show
Walking through the Arena Plaza, you’ll pass a massive stretch of giant LED panels. This is the core of the experience. According to my friend, building this area cost an unbelievable amount of money (I was told the exact figure once, but I forgot—probably because it was so astronomical).
When the clock strikes the hour, people gather quickly for the Whale Show. In the past, it used to run every 30 minutes, but now it’s scheduled once every hour. The show is about three minutes long, but it’s packed with breathtaking visuals—huge whales swimming gracefully across the massive LED ceiling, paired with immersive sound effects.
Travel Tips & Nearby Attractions
📍 Getting There:
Yeongjongdo is about a 1–1.5 hour drive from Seoul, making it a convenient day trip. It’s also home to Incheon International Airport and several beaches, perfect for combining seaside relaxation with sightseeing.
🎬 Don’t Miss:
- The full Whale Show at Inspire Hotel’s Arena Plaza – free admission (you only need to pay for parking).
- The large LED displays and mini-shows between performances.
🏖 Nearby Beaches:
From the resort, it’s just a 10-minute drive to Wangsan Beach and Eurwangni Beach, two of the area’s most famous coastal spots. If you’re planning a trip, it’s a great idea to combine the Whale Show with a beach visit for a full day of fun.
❤️ Overall, my visit to Inspire Hotel & Resort in Yeongjongdo was pure satisfaction—food, entertainment, and sightseeing all in one place.
