Samgyeopsal” is a popular Korean dish consisting of thinly sliced pork belly grilled over charcoal. It is typically enjoyed with garlic, gochujang (red chili paste), ssamjang (soybean paste), and various vegetables. Samgyeopsal is a beloved dish in Korea, often enjoyed in gatherings with family and friends. Its delicious, chewy texture and unique flavor make it a standout dish in Korean cuisine.
Jangan-dong is a place I visit once a month. And the barbecue restaurant, once every two or three months.
It’s a place where they grill samgyeopsal deliciously over charcoal in Jangan-dong.
In early spring, late autumn, and winter, they set up tents in the yard for gatherings.
But now I see, it’s labeled as a small Jeolla Province restaurant.
No wonder there was a variety of kimchi, and the taste was exceptional.

As shown in the picture, there are only four types of kimchi. And if you add the melljeot in the middle of the grill, you can see that there’s no shortage of sauces and side dishes to enjoy with the meat.
🌈 Kimchi Stew
A hearty kimchi stew with plenty of pork. It’s one of the side dishes that you can’t miss at a Jangan-dong barbecue restaurant.
Grill the pork belly lightly sprinkled with green tea powder, flipping it only 2-3 times to properly cook the juices over high heat from the charcoal.
I’m a fan of pork kimchi stew.

✔️ There aren’t many tables at Nuna’s Charcoal Grill. So, during peak hours, there might be a wait, so keep that in mind.
✔️ Recommended menu items are samgyeopsal, steamed egg, grilled squid, and if it’s Nuna’s place, kimchi stew.
