Let’s go to the Yeonggung Fish Market in Samcheongpo Port and have some fresh raw fish at the seafood center.

Even though it’s a place I want to keep to myself,

I rarely visit from Seoul,

but this time, I went to Samcheongpo Port with my mother.

Nevertheless, it’s a place I want to visit at least twice a year for my mother, who loves raw fish.

Wow, I was amazed by the scale right away.

It’s different from places like Busan Port or Incheon Port, but still, for a small city harbor,

it was quite large.

When you go a little further from the Yeonggung Fish Market, you can find the Samcheongpo Western Market, where you can see a more traditional atmosphere.

However, it was under construction, which was disappointing.

So, I returned to the Yeonggung Fish Market seafood center.

Wow, the cost-effectiveness is great.

After going to various places, I settled here.

It seemed like one of the few fishcake and fried pancake shops in the Yeonggung Fish Market.

Well, there were hardly any, but I stumbled upon it by chance.

Compared to how many fishcake shops there are in Sokcho Central Market… In comparison, the Yeonggung Fish Market is more focused on sashimi and dried fish.

From dried fish to live fish, there’s a variety.

It’s quite large from end to end.

If you walk a little further from the Yeonggung Fish Market, you’ll encounter the Samcheongpo Western Market, where you can see a slightly more traditional atmosphere.

But it was under construction, so it was regrettable.

So, I returned to the Yeonggung Fish Market seafood center.

Even the smell of grilling hairtail reaches the departed daughter-in-law’s house… Fortunately, our house doesn’t have a departed daughter-in-law yet. Haha.

When you’re not sure what to choose at Samcheongpo Port, just ask the owner to pack some delicious assorted raw fish for you.

There were many assorted raw fish whose names I didn’t know, but they were as delicious as the famous fish.

You can also see flounder, flatfish, and other fish.

Along with 30,000 won worth of assorted raw fish, they also gave us ingredients for soup.

And you can go to a nearby restaurant and pay only for the side dishes and spicy soup to enjoy a delicious meal.

The amount is really big, right?

My mother and I almost burst eating just the two of us.

It’s almost like a serving for three people.

Soft, rich, and hardly any bones to chew made the assorted raw fish even more satisfying.

Even though it’s called assorted raw fish, it’s supposed to be various types of fish, but somehow they meticulously sliced and prepared it, making it easy for my elderly mother to enjoy.

Even after eating so much, the assorted raw fish didn’t diminish.

The taste goes without saying…

You can always eat sea bream, rockfish, flatfish, sea bream, and salmon in Seoul, but you can’t always get such natural assorted raw fish.

With unlimited lettuce and perilla leaves, I wrapped and ate to my heart’s content.

“Eating raw fish is always enjoyable.”

With this quality, if it’s spicy soup, it doesn’t feel like a waste of money.

It’s a spring day, but the head meat and body meat of the hairtail are stuck together, making it fun to spread and eat the meat.

Although it had the visual and taste of calling for soju, unfortunately, I just had rice because I had to take my mother back to the countryside.

We ate the raw fish at the restaurant right in front of this place by paying for the side dishes and spicy soup.

5,000 won per person for the side dishes (unlimited refills of side dishes, lettuce, perilla leaves).

8,000 won for the spicy soup.

✔ Assorted raw fish at Sisters’ Shop tasted even better than sea bream, rockfish, salmon, flatfish, and others.

✔ With the assortment being sourced naturally, it lacked the artificial taste. The smooth and savory flavors combined well, leaving almost no fishy aftertaste, and the texture was pleasantly chewy.
