Located not far from Seoul, Dumulmeori is a place where the Namhan River and the Bukhan River meet and form two rivers.

This place has gained popularity over the past decade.

Entrance to Dumulmeori is located in Yangsu-ri, Yangseo-eup, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. Among the many places to visit in Yangpyeong, this is considered one of the representative landmarks.

There is a local food store on the way, seemingly operated by the agricultural cooperative.

The innermost parking lot at Dumulmeori, not a public parking lot but privately operated, is a short walk away from the public parking lot. It is convenient but slightly more expensive.

If you’re coming from Seoul, it takes about 10 minutes after crossing the Palgak Bridge and Palgak, where the Namhan River and the Bukhan River meet to form the Han River, earning Dumulmeori its name.

Nearby attractions include Semiwon, Sujoongsa, Yangpyeong Yangseo Water Treatment Plant, and Seojong-myeon, offering various things to see and enjoy.

There is a CU convenience store at the entrance, and it even has a cute dog. You can have a warm cup of coffee here and enjoy a walk without needing a separate Dumulmeori cafe.

Many people gather here to take photos of the sunrise, and Dumulmeori has even been a subject for the Republic of Korea’s sunrise photo contest.

Inside Dumulmeori, there are 3-4 cafes operating, taking advantage of their prime location with a scenic view by the riverside.

If you’re wondering where to meet, suggesting to meet in front of the tree that grants wishes might be a good idea. But does the tree really grant wishes? Give it a try!

Each person patiently waits for the sunrise, offering diverse perspectives. The winter season adds a unique charm; just dress warmly.

There is a restroom inside, somewhat challenging to find but located towards the innermost part (near the four large trees).

A trail is formed around Dumulmeori, providing plenty to see while walking. On the 1st and 6th of every month, Yangpyeong Yangsu Water Treatment Plant opens, making it another place worth visiting.

There is a large tree, actually five trees, providing a fantastic view of the sunrise.

There is also a tourist information center, but it seems closed on weekends, which may not be very helpful.

There are small dirt paths with stone walls and various stalls and shops run mostly by local residents.

Taking an overall look, half a day should be sufficient. Depending on individual preferences, exploring everything might take about 2-4 hours.

Dumulmeori offers boat rides in non-frozen seasons. In winter, the boats are docked, presenting a tranquil and beautiful scene.

The front of Dumulmeori is slightly frozen, but it’s crucial not to enter as there is a risk of drowning if the ice breaks.

The most visible tree at the entrance acts as a symbol of Dumulmeori, attracting many people and serving as a popular photo spot.
