Recommended restaurants at the Naeilcheon Service Area on the Seoul-bound and Yangyang-bound sides of the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway.

The Naeilcheon Service Area on the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway”

It’s a rest area that I visited when the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway was first opened. Since then, I’ve occasionally stopped by. The unique aspect of this rest area is that it shares the same building for both Seoul-bound and Yangyang-bound directions.

Parking on the Seoul-bound side feels like a rarity this time. I think most of the time, I’ve parked on the Yangyang-bound side. The Seoul-bound side is situated at a higher location compared to the Yangyang-bound side, spanning four floors in height.

From here, you can take the escalator down to the first floor to access the parking lot for the Yangyang-bound direction.

It was a trip to Gangwon Province with a lot of fine dust in the air. I can’t remember the last time I traveled to Gangwon Province.

✔ Among the rest areas along the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway, the Naeilcheon Service Area stands out as the only one where both the Yangyang-bound and Seoul-bound directions share the same building for the rest area. (However, parking spaces are naturally separate.)

✔ The food court is located on the fourth floor, and most of the Naeilcheon Service Area’s popular restaurant menus are also on the fourth floor, so keep that in mind.
