The entrance of Shilla Hotel in South Korea.

After a long time, I visited Shilla Hotel again. This is my second time attending an event at Yeong Bin Gwan since my previous visit for a work event.

Returning after a while, the luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere of Shilla Hotel remains unchanged.

I took the subway after a long time.

Almost after a million years… lol

Just kidding, it’s my first time using public transportation in a year.

As expected, public transportation is convenient.

No need to worry about time, parking, driving, and you can enjoy drinks freely… lol

If you come out of Exit 5 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station on Line 3 in the Seoul metropolitan area, you will find the entrance to Shilla Hotel Yeong Bin Gwan.

You can walk there in about 7 minutes from here.

However, for those who may find the uphill walk or stairs challenging, especially the elderly, it’s more comfortable to use the shuttle bus at the entrance.

Think of this place as where Shilla Hotel weddings take place.

There are two ceremonies held each day, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.

When I visited before, I walked there, but this time I decided to try the shuttle bus.

Actually, the time for the Shilla Hotel Yeong Bin Gwan wedding was quite tight… lol

To get there a minute or two earlier, I used the shuttle bus.

If you come out of Shilla Hotel entrance, you will arrive at the entrance to Yeong Bin Gwan in about 1-2 minutes.

Since buses do not stop right in front of Yeong Bin Gwan, you need to get off at the main building and walk for a moment.

But even so, it’s not difficult, as it’s only about a minute.

Yeong Bin Gwan Wedding

Both outdoor and indoor seats are operated simultaneously.

The main ceremony is considered outdoor.

Then, in case of rain, is the indoor ceremony held?

I suddenly became curious.

Even though I made a reservation in advance… if it rains, will it be an indoor wedding? Probably, it seems likely…

Then how disappointing would it be…

Each seat has the person’s name displayed.

What is this unique feeling?

Today’s menu is served with about 10 courses.

Outdoor seat

Shilla Hotel Yeong Bin Gwan weddings are typically conducted as outdoor weddings.

There are two ceremonies a day at 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

In fact, the outdoor setting seemed better at first, but during the daytime, the indoor setting seems better due to sunlight and heat.

On a hot summer day, even if there is a slightly white canopy hanging like waves in the sky, it would be nice.

You can open the windows like this even in the indoor setting to see the outdoor view.

As the weather gets warmer, the indoor setting feels like a VIP seat.

The floral decorations alone are so extravagant that it’s not an exaggeration to say that the cost of the flowers alone is in the thousands.

Now, let’s start with the course meal.

Having a glass of wine

It’s great not to have to drive and bring a car.

Appetizer bread before the meal

Bread like brioche came out.

The taste of butter is excellent!!

Baguette served with soup

Baguette was served with soup.

I foolishly ate the baguette first because there was no cream soup at first… lol

So I got a new baguette. (It seems like it’s not originally served..)

Grilled salmon at Shilla Hotel.

Grilled salmon

The salmon is delicious.

The taste of the dressing sauce sprinkled lightly upgrades the taste of grilled salmon.

As expected, the skills of the hotel chef are outstanding.

To have a once-in-a-lifetime wedding in such a magnificent place…

On one hand, there is the thought that it’s okay, and on the other hand…

I leave it to the imagination.

When attending a Shilla Hotel Yeong Bin Gwan wedding, there is one thing you must take with you, and that is flowers.

After the ceremony, they wrap flowers in one corner.

If you need flower wrapping, there is a place that will wrap them diligently, so be sure to bring them if you need them.

Beef steak at Shilla Hotel

Steak of veal

It seems to be sirloin, and it chewed smoothly in the mouth.

Eating slowly and savoring it was good, but…

After finishing everything, I started thinking about spicy kimchi stew… lol

Am I still Korean? Haha

Celebration noodles (Janchi-guksu) at Shilla Hotel.

Feast noodles (Janchi-guksu)

The broth was fantastic.

It’s not too salty or bland, and I’m curious about how they seasoned it.

Mid-dessert ice cream

Last yogurt dessert

When returning, you can walk a little in front of the main building and take the bus.

Since the buses run frequently, don’t worry about the schedule.

Fold/Unfold
