Sinlim-dong Sinlim Market, a seasonal flatfish (flounder) restaurant named Mokpo Fisheries.

Visited a second restaurant in Sinlim Market, Sinlim-dong, Seoul.

The above sentence translates to: "This is a panoramic view of Mokpo Fisheries in Sinlim-dong.

First, enjoyed delicious pork belly slices with makgeolli in the first round.

In the second round, we indulged in seasonal flatfish (flounder) with shots of soju and beer, especially since it’s the season for fresh flatfish.

Located inside Sinlim Market, it’s a seafood restaurant named “Mokpo Fisheries.”

The name itself exudes the aroma of the sea, offering a seafood experience.

Approximately 50 meters from Sinlim Station intersection, about a 10-minute walk.

Not shown in the photos, but there were surprisingly many people in their 20s to 30s.

Wondered why there isn’t such a place near Nowon Station in our neighborhood, feeling a sense of regret.

Entered through the market entrance, struggled to find the menu inside, as I attempted to take pictures of it from the outside.

Entrance near Bokgaecheon, where smokers can enjoy a cigarette.

Grateful to the business owner who, despite being younger than the CEO of the trading partner, recommended such a delicious place.

Looking forward to the day when I can treat someone to such tasty food as I age.

Sinlim Market seafood restaurant menu.

Struggled to capture the menu from the outside, only to find individual menus placed on the tables inside.

Flatfish should be eaten in winter, and spicy stew is a must-try.

Provided complimentary seaweed soup and a glass for drinks.

The glass was filled with a 1:1 ratio of soju and beer, and after a few glasses, I, too, became quite intoxicated.

So-maek (soju + beer) is truly a combination that makes you wonder who came up with it.

Was there a special request from the kitchen chef or the CEO of the trading partner who is relatively younger than me? The thick and flavorful slices of flatfish made me feel that even though I was full from the first round of pork belly, I couldn’t resist the deliciousness of the fish.

Almost rarely got drunk that day.

I usually could only handle two shots of soju during my school days, but now I can manage up to two bottles.

Enjoyed the texture and taste of flatfish, especially the belly part, which was placed on top.

Wondering if it was the belly part.

At the end, feeling almost asleep while sitting.

Accompanied by lettuce, garlic, and spicy dipping sauce, the flatfish sashimi was delicious.

Regret not mixing the sauce properly as I had consumed quite a bit of alcohol during the first round.

Regular holiday information: Every second Tuesday of the month.

Waited eagerly to try the spicy stew after seeing others enjoying it at the adjacent table.

The red broth appeared spicy but wasn’t overwhelming, delivering a rich taste with the unsaturated fatty acids from the fish.

Finished with the spicy stew, providing a relieving feeling in my stomach, as if it was a remedy for hangover.

Beautiful scenery unfolded around Bokgaecheon, making it worth visiting Seoul Sinlim-dong just for this view.
